THE WHITE TIGER

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT : "THE WHITE TIGER"

The current population of the White Tiger is around 200.Currently, no white tigers are found in the wild. White tigers are extremely rare.

This makes the character in the story, Balram our hero. As a child, Balram had greatly impressed the school inspector. he was the only student among his classmates who could pass the test set up by the inspector. This display earned him the title 'WHITE TIGER'.

Balram hailed from a poor family, born into the cast of sweet makers, his father was a rickshaw puller. He was quickly removed out of school to be made to work in a local tea shop. After this Balram never went to school.
As a child, Balram always looked up to  Vijay, a local bus driver and his uniform.

Balram wanted a change, he was inspired by kaki uniform drivers.
with great difficulty, he learns driving and gets appointed as a secondary driver to a very rich family in Dhanbad.

His life there is very inspiring. The writer has not left anything blank. He has highlighted the real life of the drivers in the country.
These rich brats only care about their life.  They are very selfish.

There is an instance in the story where the owner's wife after drunk forces the driver to let her drive. She rams the car into the homeless.

The very next day the owner produced a paper to Balram asking him to take the full blame. This the writer says is the undeniable injustice that happens to every driver in India.
suddenly there is a twist when our hero commits a crime, he murders Mr.Ashok his owner for money.

This white Tiger of ours had his luck aligned with him because he did this crime in India. His wanted photograph was put up in English which he says he is proud about. This he says because Indians are the half baked men who don't know to read this foreign language in the poster and secondly that the blur black photograph could be half the Indians.

It is truly interesting when we learn the way our White Tiger became a successful entrepreneur in Banglore. Balram changes his names to ASHOK SHARMA, then sets up a Taxi service which he runs successfully.

Our White Tiger took the wrong path to success. He too fell into the Rooster coupe, bribed the police, gave compensation to the deceased family who had been accidentally killed by one of his drivers.
The whole story is narrated by Balram himself in a letter to Mr.jiabao who lives in China and is about to visit India.
